Deep Diver Specialty
Take an opportunity of a lifetime - go deep to see things others can only dream about. Expand your diving horizons and experience depths beyond 100 feet. Learn deep dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and hazards. Put this knowledge to the test as you go on up to four open water dives that range from 60 - 130 feet. Course requires Adventure Diver certification and a minimum age of 15.

If you are ready to expand your diving horizons, consider the deep diving course. It will take you beyond 100’, to the limits of the sport diving range. Combine this with Enriched (nitrox) Air training and extend your bottom time!

What will I do?
You will learn to plan, conduct and safely execute dives up to 130 feet and within no decompression limits. The course includes information on equipment considerations and configurations, special navigation concerns, buoyancy issues, emergency decompression procedures and environmental considerations of deeper dives. The course includes four deep water training dives. At the discretion of the students and instructor, may also include charters or trips to remote dive sites. An Enriched (nitrox) Air course can be combined with your deep course at a special price. Inquire at Bubbles Below!
How long will it take?
1 Knowledge Review session and 4 open water dives over at least 2 days.
What do I need to start?
- PADI Adventure diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- Minimum age: 15
Required Materials
PADI Deep Diver Crew Pak. It’s strongly recommended that students have a redundant air supply, such as a pony bottle. Nitrox certification is also recommended.
Become a Master Scuba Diver?
Show off your training and knowledge by receiving the Master Scuba Diver certification. This is the highest recreational diver level in the PADI system of diver education. It indicates you have received a significant amount of training and experience in a variety of dive environments. Completing this specialty brings you one step closer to achieving this sought after certification.

Why DSAT Tec Deep Diver?
The DSAT Tec Deep Diver course takes you past recreational diving and immerses you in the world of technical diving.
What do I need to start?
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- PADI Enriched Air Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- PADI Deep Diver (or qualifying certification from another organization)
- Have a minimum of 100 logged dives of which 20 must be enriched air dives, 25 dives must be deeper than 18 metres/60 feet and at least 15 dives must be deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
- Minimum age: 18 years old
What will I do?
After successful completion of the DSAT Tec Deep Diver course you'll be able to conduct gas-switch extended no-decompression dives, decompression dives and accelerated decompression dives using air and enriched air to a depth of 50 metres/165 feet. You'll also understand the hazards and risks involved in technical diving, as well as how to prepare for and handle reasonable foreseeable technical diving emergencies.
